Networking groups
DACT is committed to providing a high-quality professional network for its 800 members. We continually assess our networking function to ensure that we effectively meet our members’ needs. To facilitate this, we have introduced various network groups, allowing members to participate in multiple groups, based on their interests.
Young Treasurers
In early 2014, the board established a dedicated network group: the DACT Young Treasurers. This group specifically aims to offer younger members (under 35 years) and those with up to five years of experience in the Treasury field, an informal and accessible platform. The goal is to connect with peers at the same level and build relationships with enthusiastic colleagues, who can be easily approached to discuss current Treasury issues outside of DACT events.

With an increasing number of members working as interim treasury specialists, DACT recognizes their vital role in enhancing Treasury functions across organisations. The DACT Platform Interim Treasury (PIT) facilitates discussions among Treasury professionals and potential clients, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing.

Sounding The Technical Committee has set up a sounding board across Treasury Controllers to exchange ideas and experiences and share knowledge and expertise. The sounding board discusses strategic topics like how to ensure Treasury Control remains a supportive function rather than an auditing function, and how to embed segregation of duties in your organisation and organisational culture, but also more operational topics on appropriate controls and risk measures and best-in-class reporting.
