Sander van Tol studied Financial Economics at Erasmus University Rotterdam. After working for a short period as Assistant Treasurer at Woningbedrijf Rotterdam, he started as a Consultant at Zanders, Treasury & Finance Solutions in 1996. In 2001, Sander was appointed partner of this firm. Within Zanders, he is jointly responsible for advising Corporate Clients. Besides his position at Zanders, he is a lecturer and chairman of the curatorium at the postgraduate Treasury Management & Corporate Finance course at the Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam. Sander is a speaker at international conferences and provides training for ACT in Corporate Finance and Risk Management.
Sander van Tol became a member of DACT's predecessor, the NVVT, in 2004. He served as a board member of DACT (partner member seat) for three years and resigned in 2010. On June 7, 2012, he was appointed as a member of the DACT Advisory Board. Sander has served for 11 years in the Advisory Board, including as chairman since 2017. He has participated in many Lustrum teams and Summer Conference teams. He was also part of the Talk-to-the-treasurer team.
He was responsible for the content and moderation of the New Year's meetings.
Sander organized various member surveys and has been a speaker at PEP sessions, business case studies, and lectures during Treasury events.
In 2022, Sander announced that he was stepping down as an Advisory Board member.
